Leaving the land we love...

Well, the count down has started. We leave Canmore in 9 days! We have been planning a USA bike/climb road trip since early February, and it's bound to be exciting and adventurous. We have started packing up our belongings and building the sleeping area in our Tacoma. There is SO much to do in the next 9 days, it's insane! 

Ben spend a good chunk of time constructing the back of the truck up so we could make it livable. We went to home hardware and bought all the wood, hinges and screws we would need, and then went to work. With a sunny afternoon here in Canmore, Ben was able to pretty much finish the main section of the back! 

Ben is a fantastic job on this! I think we are quite proud of our creation. Below the mattress, the wood folds up to the right, so we can fit our bikes into the truck. There is also a drawer that pulls out on the bottom right, which will soon be out 'cooking' area. I'll post more photos once it's completely done and we have all our stuff in the back! Exciting to think that this is our 'home' for the next month...

We both got our bikes tuned and ready to go for Moab. We went for an hours ride last night to test 'em out. They are riding smooth! Thanks goes out to the boys at Outside Bike and Ski here in Canmore. They did a great job! 

Things are starting to come along nicely...
