Woke up and had a great stretch.
We all made breakfast at camping spot – Lovall National Park - and enjoyed a quiet cool morning before the stupid heat was upon us. This heat is exhausting. I do welcome it though, as we ARE headed to Winter in NZ.. so, I need to get as much as in as possible. :)
We headed to Red Rocks to climb in the Black Corridor, as you know, because it's in the shade. We were there ‘till noon, until it got WAY too hot.
After trying to figure out what to do next, all three of us realized we were very hungry. So, we went to Smiths Grocery for food. We ended up sitting there for just over 3.5 hours. Researching, cooling off, drinking iced coffee - I am sure people were wondering why these three bums were loitering for so long.
The decision for the next destination was: Mt Charleston. The main reason? It was cooler up there. There was climbing on LIMESTONE and there was some DH biking. Perfect reasons?
We drove to Mtn Charleston and instantly, we all knew this was the perfect decision. The forest fire rating was HIGH, so so fires, but we didn't care, because the temperature was cooler. We found a campsite and ended up camping at Lynn Boulders. It was WONDERFUL. The campsite was free, quiet and in a forest.

Dinner and a movie.. and a drink - we were all set.
Climbing tomorrow, on Sesame Street Wall. All three of us are stoked.
Night!
